Glimmerglass Queen was commissioned by her current owners who operate a waterfront hotel on Otsego Lake in Cooperstown, New York (see the Lake Front Hotelʼs Glimmerglass Queen Boat Tours). They wanted a simple vessel that would allow for comfortable excursions on a small body of water at very low operating costs.
